Hi carman, should the base MF for a 2010 LR4 still be .00027, my dealership is quoting .00076 on a demo model with 4K miles.

    Thanks,
    Charles

What can be expected with respect to the money factor these days? I'm being offered 0.0021 through Chase on an LR4 Metropolis Edition. The MSRP is $56,950 and purchase price of $54,000, 39-mth, 15,000 miles. There is no cap-cost reduction and taxes and fees will be paid upfront. Compared to most purchase finance deals, the effective 5% interest rate on the lease is horrible. Is there an alternative?

Hi. I'm trying to lease an LR4 HSE. MSRP 53250. The price was discounted to 52350. Residual is 52% and money factor .0022. 42 month lease with 15K miles. The quote I received was $899 with no money down. Is this a good deal? If not, what do you think I should pay?
  • daxt24daxt24 Member Posts: 6
Anyword on money factors for LR4 for March?
Also, any ideas on what is a good discount on a Lr4 Hse would be appreciated.
  • vthvth Member Posts: 2
Hi, what is the current (June 2011) money factor and residual for an HSE LR4 demo model with up to 10k miles? Also, what should I expect to pay?
I have an LR3 coming off lease soon and would like to lease an LR4, any negotiating tips/tactics and prices would be appreciated. Seems like a fair amount of inventory in my area (New York City) too. Thank you.

Hi vth. Land Rover's June buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 LR4 HSE with 15,000 miles per year are .00152 and 53%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

It's difficult to say exactly how much you will have to pay for this truck right now, but I can tell you that I would have to be given a huge discount over what I would normally pay for this truck in order to be persuaded to buy a demo unit with 10,000 miles on it. I'm not averse to buying or leasing demos, I just often find that dealers are not willing to provide enough of an additional discount to justify purchasing what for all intents and purposes is a low mileage used vehicle over a similar brand new one.

    Hey car_man
    Great Site by the way!
Are those lease rates through chase or Land Rover? I can't seem to get any dealer close to that money factor or residual, and I am only looking at a 36 month, 10k a year lease...You think residual would be higher and money factor the same?
Also when I run those numbers on a 55 msrp car, sales price 48000. I get a payment of around 725 before tax, can you double check those numbers for me?
    Thanks Again

    Here is my deal...

    2011 LR4 Demo with 3000 miles
    MSRP : 55,550

    36 month
    12k/ year
    $693
0 down.... taxes, 1st month payment and title due at signing...

I think its a pretty good deal...would appreciate some feedback...
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Thanks Nick. I'm glad that you like it. Those numbers are through Chase. Land Rover no longer has its own captive finance company. It and Jaguar now run all of their special leases through Chase.

The money factor for a 36 month, 10k, lease would be the same, but its residual value would be a couple of points higher. Using an MSRP of $55,000 and a selling price of $48,000, I estimate that this car's 36 month, 15k, zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $641.

Hi, what is the right price for a 2010 LR4 HSE with 3,000 miles? The dealer is telling me 49,750 so the least I know is it's < 49,750. The money factor and residual are 116 and 52%. Thnks

The Land Rover National deal is $699.00/month, $2,995.00 down for 36 months and 10,000 miles/year. (MF 0.00116 and RV 53%)

My local guy has $595/month, $3,995.00 down for 39 months and 10,000 miles/year. (MF 0.00126 and RV 51%)

Based on the same MSRP, cost and fees, which is the better deal?

    Hi Carman,

Could you please help me out. I am looking to Lease a 2011 Land Rover LR4 Lux edition for 36 Months, 15k miles. Would you please tell me the August base lease rates for both 15k and 12k miles. I believe they use a program through Chase. Thanks in advance.

Hi shivan. Chase's August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Land Rover LR4 Lux Edition with 15,000 miles per year are .00116 and 48%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

    Hi Car man,
Can you please help me with these questions.

    1) Latest numbers for 2012 LR4? 33- 42 Mo. 12k a year.

    2) I am in the market for a new SUV lease and considering GL450, Q7 and LR4. Have been discouraged about Q7 after reading about several problems posted in this forum. I don't have to jump into a lease right away, and can wait upto 3 months if there is a good chance to get better terms on a 2012 lease. I guess these are my other questions.
    1) Which of the two LR4 or GL450 get better lease terms
    2) Is there a chance for the terms to improve over the next 2-3 months?
    3) Is there value in going for a 42/48 months?

Thank you so much for the help.

Greetings to the appropriately named car_lease. Land Rover's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a base LR4 with 12,000 miles per year are .00318 ad 59%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00318 and 57%.

    The 42-month numbers are .00318 and 55%.

The money factors for the '12 GL450 are much better, but its residual values aren't quite as good....00131 and 57% for a 36-month, 12k lease.

It's difficult to say what these brands will do with their lease programs over the next several months.

If you decide to go with a 42 or 48 month lease, your payments will likely be lower...but you will be committed to your vehicle for longer.

Hello Car_man. I'm looking for a 36 month lease on a 2012 LR4 lease with 10K miles per year. Can you tell me the MF and residual? I would consider 48 month lease if the MF and residual would result in a significant reduction in monthly payment. Thanks in advance!
  • moejojojomoejojojo Member Posts: 10
Car_man, sorry, I should've said 2012 LR4 HSE. I don't know if the MF and residuals differ for the base and HSE. Thanks.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Here you go moejojojo. Chase's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 Land Rover LR4 HSE with 10,000 miles per year are .00224 and 58%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 48-month lease are .00231 and 50%.

Car man - looking to lease an LR4. What are the December rates and at which bank(s)? I saw the deal Landrover is offering - is that a good deal, relatively negotiable or are there any other finance options? I live in Phoenix. Also looking at an MDX or 4Runner if the monthly price or down payment creeps to high on the LR4. Acura seems to have a good lease special going. Thanks.

    Car Man,

Hi, what would a monthly payment be for a Land Rover LR4 Base Model, Sticker is 50k. Leased for 36 months with zero down?

    Thanks in advance
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi jake3691. Your lease payment will depend upon what sort of selling price you are able to negotiate. Let's say that you are able to negotiate a $3,000 dealer discount. If so, a truck that has an MSRP of $50,000 would have a 36-month, 15,000 mile per year, zero down, pre-tax monthly payment of around $743.

Let me know if you have a different selling price in mind and I can work up another payment for you.

So there is a current promotion on the LR4 2012 for an HSE with climate package for 10,000 miles a year, 36 months. It is approx 3k down and 749 a month prior to tax. I am planning to get the same car, but I am debating a 12000 per year vs 15000 per year. Can you tell me the money factors/residuals on those vehicle combinations. I know I am going to go over 12000, the question is by how much and is it worth it to buy the 15000.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi epack. Land Rover's May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 LR4 HSE with 10,000 miles per year are .00119 and 53%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The residual value for a lease with 12,000 miles per year would be 1% lower than the 10k residual. The 15,000 mile per year residual value would be 2% lower than the 10k residual.

Carman, I would like your opinion on this deal.
    MSRP $56,700
    Sale price $52,323
money factor .00135 res- 47% 42 months lease
Deposit of $508.10 ( they did not tell me of this until I saw it on the contract )
Payment- $760 month with 7% sales tax included

Based on my calculation, this is around $4 more a month from invoice of $756.04. Am I correct ? do you think this is a good deal ?

    Thanks for your input !

Would you please update the most recent money factor and residual value for LR4 HSE and the LR4 HSE Lux?

  • im4sockeyeim4sockeye Member Posts: 14
I was in the local dealer on Friday was offered a 42 mo. lease at .00185 and a 49% residual with 12K miles/year. Also a $795 acquisition fee with the lease through Chase. Is this market? Are there downsides to a 42 month lease? They offered this primarily to get my lease payments below where they are now.

Also of interest, literally on the way to the dealer a rock hit my windscreen and left a crack large enough to require replacement. I have a Rover Sport on a lease due in 5 months and am already over the mileage. The dealer offered $4K over the payoff number as is. The deal proposed was for MSRP when the Tru Value was $2K under the MSRP so it seems they are really offering $2K over the payoff. I have also received unsolicited offers of 10-15% over NADA for my rover.

    carman/kdyfx,

can you let me know the MF and residual for july for an LR4 HSE, 12K miles per year, and 42 mos lease? do you think $699 per month with 12K, 42 mos lease, MSRP of $56K, $0 cap cost, all others (taxes, TTL, etc.) baked in, is a good deal? a sign & drive so to speak with just the first month out of pocket.

    thanks!

saaber1 can you tell us where you are located? this sounds like a great deal as you described. I was going to get a MB GL450 (need 3rd row seats) as they are pushing out 2012 models but it is such a dull car although much higher sticker price.
  • car_leasecar_lease Member Posts: 7
True. Had to choose MB instead for a recent lease primarily because i couldnt find any lr4s with this sort of a deal...
  • saaber1saaber1 Member Posts: 31
    shanchen72,

i picked up the car already. the sale price was $48.5K for a 2012 brand new LR4 HSE with CC package and sirius radio. it's a 42 mo lease with 12K miles per yr. taxes, TTL, etc. were all baked into the price of $699 per month. $0 cap cost and $0 security dep. they also bought out the remaining year of my current lease so i could get this car. the MSRP is $56,225. i think it's a good deal.

the dealership is paul miller in parsippany NJ. prestige land rover in paramus NJ also had a very similar offer (slightly less) with exact same parameters.

so far, enjoying the car. if you want to private message me leave me an email to reach you at and i will tell you the salesperson's name.

    good luck.
