    Thanks keep me posted.

Another problem which recently started is the internal electrics. Every once in a while (happening a lot more frequently now) all the dash lights will illuminate and/or all shut off. The speedometer and fuel gauges also just stop and drop back to the off position. I notice this happens to when i toggle the indicator or toggle between normal and hi setting headlights when driving at nights. Time to move this car on

i have a 2002 dodge neon with automatic tranny. The transmission went out with no warning whatsoever. When the car is running, i hear clicking or tapping noises coming from the bell housing. i was told that if i replace the tranny with a used one, it has to be a 2002 only because they are calibrated differently. I did some more asking around and was told i could use any tranny from a 2000 and up neon, but will have to switch the computer with one from the donor car. Any ideas?

hello ther good morning good day good evening all
someone pls pls pls help i have a dodge neon 2004 AUT in venezuela
and for a few months have had the car sidelined due to a "electrical prob"
the gearbox won't change (its in second gear) and the mopar scanners detect
a flaw with the 2-4 solenoid circuit. so we changed the solenoide body completly
and still nothing! so i took the central (and only) computer to a specialist and they say the computer has no damage or flaws.so they checked the continuity of the cabling from the gearbox to the compu and all other cables and supposedly
no flaws there either! so everyone says its one thing and it never is now there saying again its the compu! someone with dodge experience pls pls help

    gracias saludos!

Has any one came across this problem, New Radiator, thermostat, and the water looks like you could drink it and still no heat, has anyone had this issue? The only thing I haven't done is reverse the heater hoses to see if maybe the heater core might just be clogged.

I have a 2000 Neon that will not shift from 2nd to third. Change fluid/filter and no change. Shift from 1 to 2 is fine and 2 back to 1, just no third? Anybody out there with any thoughts?

This is the first time I am posting, so please forgive me if I am repeating something! I have a 200 Plymouth Neon that is in desperate need for a new suspension. I know that I have struts, but beyond that...I don't know anything else! Can anyone give me any sugestions as to what parts I need to replace/buy to do this job? I teach at a school that has an auto-mechanics program...if I bring in the parts, they will do the job!

Struts and strut mounts take care of the bouncy-bouncy part, but if you are having problems with directional stability during cornering, or very irregular tire wear, you should inspect things like control arm bushings and sway bar bushings as well, front and rear if so equipped.

I just bought this car from a 87 yr old little lady that is a close friend of the family. The car has only 15,000 miles and I got it for $500. She obviously hardly drove it!! I have had it for 2weeks and I have had to replace the fuel filter and now the fuel pump. I'm reading all the reviews and they are all the same problems with these cars. So now I'm wondering if I should keep the car or just trade it in?? Before I put more miles on it and have to dump more $$$$ in it. What is everybodies input on this???

Well I wouldn't give up on it quite so soon. Any 15 year old car might give you some trouble. But I wouldn't invest a LOT of money in this car. First big thing, bail out.
