27*$529 + $1650 would be $15,933 is what I would pay at the end of the lease.

    2014 RX 450h AWD

24 months/25k miles/yr (standard lease was 15k), 66% residual (paying $4,000 for additional 20,000 miles, which reduces residual by $4,000) msrp – $58,809 (original MSRP was $57,665, but added $1,144 in after-market options) Residual - based upon $57,665 MSRP is $38,058.90 minus $4,000 for extra miles = $34,058.90

    -$2,100 dealer reduction - $500 lease cash +Acq fee - $700 +Admin Doc fee - $649 +Reg fee - +1,307.42 (road use tax, per state) +Lic, Ttle - $624

    A - Cap Cost - $57,588 (without fees noted above) B - Cap Cost - $59,489 (this includes fees noted above) C - Cap Cost - $56,209 (I believe this number includes A and B + 1 pay money factor of .0005)

Lease factor if pymts - .00150 Lease factor if 1 pay - .00050 (planning on this option)

Trade allowance for 2012 RX 350 AWD with 48k miles - $29,250 1 payment option (money factor .0005) - $26,402.86, less trade of $29,250 Zero down option - $1,200 month (money factor .0015)

    Short form version:

    $57,665 msrp + $1,144 add ons = $58,809 - $2,100 from dealer - $500 lease cash + $700 Acq fee + $649 Admin Doc = $57,558 +$1,307.42 Reg fee +$624 Lic/Title = $59,209

Boy... that's kind of hard to follow. I'm not sure why the money factor for the One-Pay would affect the CAP cost, though.

At an MSRP of $57,665 and a residual of 59% (to approximate your reduced residual) and a CAP cost of $59,209... .and the One-Pay money factor of .0005, I get a payment of $1096/mo. X 24 = $26,300 (or so). That puts me within $100 of your number, so that's pretty close.

The only thing is? I show the base money factor for the RX 450h as .00090, not .00150. So, it looks like they are jacking up your money factor, before giving you the discount for One-Pay... A $2100 discount and a jacked up money factor doesn't sound like a great deal. If the discount for One-Pay is .00100, they could still take a slight mark-up to .00110 and your money factor would be .00010, which would lower the One-Pay amount by about $900.

I don't really have a comment on your trade-in, that's a whole nother ball of wax.

Geez.. $1000+ per month is a lot, even for all those miles.. Maybe your Mom needs to find a boyfriend closer to home? (just kidding.. but, $1000/mo. is a lot!!!)

Thank you kyfdx@Edmunds. So I assume you are saying the standard factor that Lexus uses on all of their leases is .00090. I think I will ask the dealership why they appear to be using a higher factor than the standard one. I agree, ridiculous amount to pay for a vehicle for 2 years, but cant talk her out of it.

That's not the standard money factor on all Lexus leases, just on the RX450h..

I've been reading various threads on this site and learned a lot about lease deals and cannot thank you enough for your help. Would you be kind enough to assess the following offer/deal? Trade-in = * 2008 Lexus Rx 350 * Current mo. pmt = $625 * Payoff = $23000 * Kbb fair/good used car value as trade-in = about $17750 * net trade-in value = -$5250 New lease deal pending - * 2014 RX 350 with nav + premimum + blind spot * MSRP = $51500 * bottom line deal with trade-in: $650 mo, 36-mo, 10K/yr, inception fee= $3000 for fees + taxes (7.5%, north NJ) + 1st pmt.

I already made the $3000 pmt and picking up the car in a little bit, just wanted to make sure I didn't shoot myself in the leg. Even if I did, can I get the money back ? ( I asses basically the dealer absorbed the negative equity on the trade-in by giving me about $5000 d/c on the new lease.)

    Thank you so much!!!

That negative equity doesn't disappear. The $5K discount would be available, even if you weren't upside down on your trade.

I can understand the desire to get into a new car that's under warranty (and, new!), for about the same payment as you have now.. But, you are paying that $5250 off, spread over the next 36 months.. Wondering how you got $5250 upside down to begin with? Serial car trader? lol

One warning.. If you are taking the 10K/yr lease to keep the payment down, make sure you can live with that mileage restriction.... Or, in 3 years you could be paying a big bill for excess mileage charges.. and, you'll be back to where you started.

  • Can I please get the February numbers for a 2014 rx350 awd, 15k/yr, 27, 33, and 36 months. I'm getting high quotes from dealers that I'm just not willing to pay(upstate NY) Thanks in advance

    .00090 MF and 66% for 27mo, 15K/yr lease

I'm sorry, but I don't have the residuals for the other terms, though the money factor would be the same.

  • Thanks. The residual isn't that great this month. I have up to two months so I'm hoping it looks better next month.

  • Ski stud, what dealerships in upstate ny aren't giving you good numbers?

  • New country lexus, two in NYC area. I started contacting dealers in New Jersey yesterday. Any recommendations would be appreciated if there are any for New Jersey, Syracuse, anywhere within a reasonable distance of Albany NY.

  • Hi ski stud, no recommendations yet. I have a deposit down on an ML but its pricey. I'm seeing the residual/MF for the lexus for 24 month/27 and it looks attractive. I'm in dutchess county. So new country was a no-go? I may look at mt kisco. My goal is to find one for 49775 and get it to 44 even using the lease incentive. Don't know how possible that is, but they'll get redesigned in march of 2015. Let me know how you make out and ill do the same. Thanks!

  • Porsche, I actually decided to save a little money with this lease(two kids in daycare at the moment). I went with a grand Cherokee limited for the next three years. The lexus will have to wait until 2017.

  • kyfdx: Could you please provide the money factor and residual for 2014 RX 350 AWD, 10k, 36 month lease? Thanks!

I show .00090 for the money factor. I'm sorry, but I don't have the residuals for the 36 month program. The 27 mo., 10K/yr residual is 69%.

  • @skistud. You're doing the right thing. Parent of a young child as well. The jeep has an extremely low MF. That would be a no brainer for me. We're opting for the ML since I'm able to use a fleet discount and over miles on my existing GLK and getting out of the lease early....and, gave my wife the final say as she would be the primary driver. Tried to push the GC limited!!
