Grand Cherokee Limited has pretty good numbers..

SUVs never seem as cheap as sedans, though..

I am new to leasing. Can you please explain what the MF is? I know what residual is and how it affects the lease/payment.

I am looking to lease a 2014 Durango RT AWD 36 Mo 10k miles

Any tips for getting the best deal for a first time lease negotiator?

Zip 90638 (southern CA) if that helps or is needed

The money factor is used to calculate the finance portion of the lease. Multiply the money factor by 2400, and that gives you an approximate equivalent APR. It's important to know the base money factor, because dealers can mark-up that number for extra profit (just like the APR on a car loan).

On the 2014 Durango RT AWD, on a 36mo, 10K/yr lease, the MF is .00025 and the residul is 52%.

To get the best lease deal, negotiate the lowest selling price possible, and get them to break down every variable.

  • Kyfdx... Hello can you tell me if the following is a good deal:

2013 Dodge Durango Limited AWD with the following packages:

Customer Preferred Package 23E Rear DVD Entertainment Center

    Total MSRP = $43,780

The lease deal is $449 per month with only first month due (so $449 due at signing) on 39 months 12k miles. Thats all I know about it from a numbers perspective. I know I am getting the Lease Conquest rebate and I used to own a 2013 Charger up until a few months ago so they said something about a loyalty rebate as well.

    Any help would be great!!

    Thank you.

I don't have the 2013 numbers, so I can't tell you exactly.. But, if you are leasing a $44K vehicle for $450/mo, with nothing down and that's inclusive of all taxes and fees, that would be hard to beat.

Still looks like a good deal. If it's a 39 month lease, it probably isn't Chrysler Capital, as their 39 month program for the Durango is not good this month. I don't have the other bank's lease programs.

  • Kyfdx, It is not Chrysler Cap, it is Ally for sure. I had my Charger lease with them and had no issues and everything went smooth.

Yeah... I wouldn't worry about that.. It's a pretty low payment, considering term and MSRP.

Is there a way to look up past residual values? Curious as to what the trend has been on sxt plus with rallye package on 39mo/10k yr. What time of the year has history shown that banks are generous with the residual values?

It's hard to predict what manufacturers will do with residual values from month to month, and past numbers are no indication of future values.

Generally, the best residuals are found at the beginning of the model year and trend downward. When two model years are available at the same time, the old model year may have a better selling price but a lower residual will offset it.

  • Looking for mf and residual numbers for 2014 SXT AWD 36/mo w/10K miles. Also, instead of asking in a different forum, would you have the numbers for a 2014 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD with same length miles?

Well, gee .. my data shows "standard" for the MF and I don't know what that is. Residual is 49% for 36mo/10K. MF for AWD SXT Plus is .00033 for 36 months.

Toyota has so many different programs it's hard to quote any sort of lease information.

  • That residual is horrible. What do you mean by different programs?

Dodge residuals drop off significantly at 36 months. The 49% takes into consideration a 3% bump for 10K mpy.

Toyota doesn't have a national program .. they break the country into different geographic units and each one has its own programs (residuals, money factors). Check some of the Toyota lease boards here and you'll see similar comments from my co-host kyfdx.
