I am getting MF of .0015 and residual of 65% on 30 months. Same MF but 64% residual on 36 months. 4Matic/10k miles. Better residual but worse MF than what you posted above. Any ideas on why they are different? I thought MB set these. Getting the .0132 MF with those residuals would be ideal but maybe pushing my luck.

    I show residuals as 63% for 30mo, 10K/yr, and 56% for 36mo, 10K/yr.

Dealers can mark-up money factors, but can't alter residuals. I don't know where your dealer is getting his numbers. Don't be surprised if they turn out to be different, when it comes time to sign the paperwork.

I calculate a price of about $10/mo. less.. but, that's pretty close.

Your tax seems awfully high, though. What state?

CA. :-( I thought sales tax for lease is only applied to part of the sale price, i guess i mis-understood this part. They rolled everything into payment for the first option, that's why it is off my calculation. Thank you for your help.

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,527

California taxes the monthly payment, and collects it the same way (monthly). It isn't paid upfront, or added into the CAP cost.

Sometimes, they'll still have an "estimated tax" line on the form, but that isn't used in the calculations.. So, given that, your payment seems a little high.

Standard money factor and 59% for 36mo, 15K/yr lease. That looks like the best value term.

Thanks Kyfdx! Does that include the 4matic? Assuming it goes up by two decreasing mileage? 52 = 15k and 54 = 12k and 56 = 10k. Thanks again!

    Add 2% for 12K/yr, add 3% for 10K/yr to adjust from 15K/yr.

The only change for 4Matic on the gas version is an MF of .00114

Hard to tell .. we'll need the negotiated selling price, the money factor and the residual value. How much of the $3600 down is for cap cost reduction and how much for fees?

I think you can do better. What was the negotiated price?
My final deal at the last minute was
    Msrp 56025 ml350 4matic. Negotiated to 48,400 (I qualified for a fleet discount)
    30 months 15k.
    2600 due at signing
    613 a month.

Took a bit of work. I am in NY also. How did you do on the negotiated price?

Just got car delivered yesterday. Ml 350 gas. Msrp 59k, sell price is 52k, 3.6k drive off with 1k down. 30 months, about 620/month including ca tax. MF 0.00116, Forgot to ask for autopay rate. :( Dealer offered 0.0016 at the beginning, then I said no deal, then they agreed on 0.00116. Almost walk away because feel sales was not very honest, but it's the perfect car we can find now, and current lease is ending in two weeks, so just went ahead. Went over contract very carefully, found over charge about $100 and asked for refund. Sales was upset saying we always gave back different calculation than his.... Got refund back, but thinking to complaint somewhere later. Complaint to mb headquarter ? Do they care?

If you're happy with the deal, I don't see where taking your issues to MB corporate will get you much. They may just turn you around back to the dealer. You reviewed the contract and found an overcharge - this could have been an honest mistake, or it could have been something slipped in. No way to know which.

    Enjoy your new M-class!

For what it's worth I have been watching this string for a month or two seeing what is out there. I recently leased a 2014 ML350. I admit that (contrary to my normal OCD) I let my buddy lead since I was not really in the market for this car. I was considering an MDX or a new 2015 RX350. Given the prices he was showing for an ML it was in the same ballpark as an MDX which is nice but not as nice. My wife has an RX350 which was $587 per month in 2011 but probably would have been cheaper today. It is a decent vehicle but has mediocre seats and only passable interior quality. The ride, quiet and interior quality of the ML is materially better, but at 700 pounds more, it is less peppy and fuel economy probably will be poor.

I got an ML350 AWD this week with all of the normal stuff, Pano roof, heated wheel and a few items totaling $59,820.00. I also had the USAA discount of $2000.00 (could have also used the ABA discount of the same amount but not both). A small note is that my buddy's law firm represents that dealership but my gut is that I could have gotten close to the same deal had I wanted to spend the time to fight for it.

I admit that I did not get the lease factor but I am assuming it was not marked much or up at all. The cost was $1722 down (which was first payment and $1095.00 lease fee) and $629.00 per month on a $50.8k cap cost (including the $2k additional discount). This is a 30 month lease which I think Mercedes is supporting at this time. Now I went a little further and did the single pay because it dropped almost $1600.00 off the total payments and I was not going to get that return with the money in a mm account. So it looks like they gave about $7k off the list price including any incentives they received. Given that it looks like people are getting that without any special friendships at the dealership, it seems entirely dooable with some time spent. I will also admit that I did not shop this number because of my friend's relationship with the dealer and the belief that since I bill by the hour, the extra time investment would not have justified the extra time and stress.

The overall experience was quick and easy and most of it done by email, again all time savers and if you are in the market for this car, your time has significant value. The delivery and paperwork took about an hour. Had I the time, the salesman (Jim Glanzmann) seemed amenable to ordering exactly what I wanted and if the numbers did not work out, they would just keep it in inventory. If the numbers work out in 30 months I may just do that.

It was Euro Motorcars in Devon, PA.

Ok Need help here. Looking at leasing a ml350 bluetec and not sure if MF is correct or if Residual is right. here are the details. 36 months 12k year is 61% AND money factor is .00255 which seems extremely high. I am leasing at invoice cost. MSRP is 61680.00 invoice is 58163.00.Please let me know your thoughts. I know the Residual is suppose to be set but money factor seems to have been written up a bit. The diesel uses MB's standard money factor, which has been .00195-.00225, so it looks like they are marking it up, which is typical. The residual percentage is correct.

Leased a 350 Bluetec a week ago for approx $890 per month. MSRP was about 67500, got 10% off plus three years free maintenance. MF was .00214 after a lot of grousing (they started at .00255. 36mths/45k. No cap cost reduction, about 1800 out the door. Hope this helps someone.

In order for us to evaluate your quotes, you will need to provide us with both the MSRP and selling price of the vehicle from both dealerships. Then we can run the numbers and let you know where things stand.

    Hello all.

Can anyone help me by providing the April Residual and MF for an ML350 in Texas? Assume 36 months. Interested in 12k AND 15k miles per year numbers.

If there is a sweet spot OTHER THAN 36 months (e.g., 30 or 42) I would consider those.

    Thanks much!!

MF of .00116 for RWD, .00114 for 4Matic

    Residuals - 52% for 36 months, 15K. Add 2% for 12K

    Best residuals are probably at 27 months - 62% for 15K, 64% for 12K

    30 month residuals are 59% and 62%
