@Michaell Thanks for your reply. If i decline Lease Excess Wear Protection, the down payment includes ~2,300 cap cost reduction. The pkg is ~20,800 sell price, 50% residual, 0.00131 MF, ~27,800 MSRP. Down + Monthly payment is around ~10500 in total.

Are there any differences in the numbers for a tdi se? And what about lease cash? That's considered "down payment" right? Anyone know when VW does their sign then drive event

I'd roll that $2300 CAP reduction into the lease, and you'll still be around $280-$290 month for a $28K car... That's a nice low lease payment for that vehicle.

Now, if the price of diesel wasn't so darned high!

All Passat TDI have the same lease program, regardless of option packages or trim level.

I think that the lease cash is a dealer bonus... So, you take advantage of that by negotiating a lower selling price. So, it's not a "down-payment".

Missing a digit from your MSRP. What is the $1500 difference between selling price and purchase price? The payment doesn't look great... but, how much of that is sales tax?

.00021 MF and 52% residual. $2500 lease cash.

I'd start at Invoice price - $500 - $2500 lease cash. And, see what happens.. It might take $1000 more to do the deal, but I've seen some seriously low prices, if you are willing to shop around. The Passat doesn't have $2500 of lease cash for nothing... they are having a hard time moving them.

Just so we are on the same page... What is the MSRP?

Also, if invoice is $23,842, the invoice - $500 -$2500 lease cash would be $20,842. That is where I would start negotiations.. I haven't shopped these enough to know if you can get that price... It might take a price of $1000 more to make it happen.

At that MSRP, and a CAP cost of $21842 ($3000 below invoice, plus $1000 for acq.fee and title/license fees), the payment would be $255.mo. plus tax, with only the 1st payment due at signing. If the CAP cost is $1000 higher, the payment would be $283/mo.+tax, again with just the 1st payment due at signing..

I'm looking for Money factor, residual value, and lease cash for a '14 Passat 1.8 TSI SE w/ Sunroof and a '14 Passat TDI SE w/Sunroof both for 36k miles. Also, Does the fuel reward card apply to Leased vehicles? Thanks- Brian

Gas: .00006 MF and 50% residual. $2750 lease cash.

Diesel: .00061 MF and 55% residual. No lease cash.

I'm not positive, but it looks like you only get the fuel card with a purchase.

Sure looks good, but is it a 2.5L or 1.8T? Does that include tax? What is your state/tax rate? Any idea of the selling price? Either way, looks dirt cheap..

I'll agree with my co-host - dirt cheap, especially with the new 1.8T. Test drove a Jetta with that engine and liked it a whole lot.

Depends on how the dealer wants to handle the payments on your current lease.

They said the lowered the upfront costs from $1100 down to the $378 to offset my final current lease payment. What are the MF and Residual they should be using? Just wasn't sure how things may change next month to know if I should just do this month.

For April, there is $2750 lease cash on the 1.8T SE, 1.8T Sport and 1.8T SEL Premium.

$2500 for the 1.8T S and 1.8T Wolfsburg.

Hi. I've been offered an SE with Sunroof for $338 a month, $0 down, 36 months, and 12,000 miles per year. State is New Hampshire. MSRP is $27,785 but selling price is almost $3,000 less than that. Do you think it's a good deal? Thanks in advance!

There is either $3250 or $3000 of lease cash on this model, depending on whether it's a 2.5L or 1.8T model. So, your selling price should be lower by at least another $1000 more than that..

A little better on the Passat. Lower residuals than the Jetta, but more lease cash and lower money factors.

I'm thinking about leasing the 2.5 SE with sunroof for 36 months, 10k miles/year. It's MSRP'ed at just under $27k. I'm wondering about residual value and money factor, as well as what I might expect to get on actual selling price with lease incentives and general negotiation factored in. Any help much appreciated!

.00005 MF and 49% residual. $3000 lease cash, on 1.8T SEL

.00043 MF and 54% residual on the TDI. No lease cash.

Dealer is in South Eastern PA I'm in Jersey so will have to pay Jersey Tax I believe. Right now they are offering $319 Monthly payment - $0 down - 36 Months - 12K Mileage per Year. Thanks.

Didnt know if the email would work so ill post it here also. I don't think im getting that good of a deal. What do you think? 14 se w/sun 2.5 36m 15k zero down 375 a month. Thats at .00029 and 46%. Selling price is 23446.

The other one is is a 14 tdi sel premium 36m 15k 800 down which cover first payment and whatever else. 508 a month at .0063 and 52% selling price is 33200

I think I'm getting hosed quite a bit.

Any help will be really appreciated

Ideally i would like to have a 14 tdi se w/sun for under 375. What is the mf and r% for that car at 36m and 15k. Is that a feasible monthly payment#?
