    Hi,

Very new here. Can't say I was the smartest here but I leased a 2014 S4 tonight without much research or finding this forum. Wondering if the mod can tell me how I did:

    2014 S4 Quattro S Tronic -- $49,500
    Packages/Options:
Phantom Black Peal Effect - $500
NMI Nav Plus Package - $3050
    Fine Napa Leather - $1250
    Quattro Sports Differential - $1100
    Adaptive Damping Suspention - $1000
    Bang & Olufsen Sound System - $850
    19" summer tires - $800
    Carbon Atlas inlays - $500
    Side Assist - $500
Guard All Weather floor mats - $180
    Supercharge badges - $145
    First Aid Kit - $45
"Preferred Equipment Credit" - -$1500 (negative value...not sure what this is entirely)
    Destination charge - $895

    Total Price: $58,815
Price I got the car to: $54,781

    Lease Terms:
    36 months
    10K miles / yr
    MF .00032
    Residual 55%

Payment $695/month all taxes and fees included
No money down, got a $1,000 rebate for already owning an Audi and they waived the rest of the drive off/registration fees (so I paid $0 today). So I have:

    • 35 payments of $695 left
    • $350 due return fee
    • Year 2 & 3 registration
    • All maintenance after the 5K which they cover

    Appreciate the help! Thanks!

  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 236,830

The negative $1500 is probably a discounted option package. Audi pays the first payment on this model...

You have the base rates, so it looks pretty good.. Come here first, next time.. ;-)

Really helpful forum here. Thank you. I'm looking at a '14 Premium Plus with Nav, 19" wheels/tires, carbon atlas and B&O. The MSRP is 55,380, and the MF is .00032. I'm getting a dealer invoice is 52,705. 55% residual value on 36 mo/10k per year. They are giving me about 1800 in loyalty rebates, which they are putting towards cap reduction. Nothing else down. There's some padding on the MV and admin fees, but all else makes sense. Can you ballpark where I should end up monthly? Also, I see where I can increase the residual value by buying Audi Care...can I also negotiate an increase using my history of returning cars in new condition and below the mileage purchased? Thanks again...so very helpful.

If the selling price is invoice minus the $1800, then the payment is $594/mo.+tax Due at signing would be acquisition fee ($695) and title/registration/dealer fees. Audi covers the first payment of this model, this month (which should be disclosed on your lease contract).

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to give a quick update what the dealer came down to & would like your opinion.

    - $0 down
    - 811 / mo includes all taxes
    - 1st payment on Audi
    - 36 mo lease
    - 12k miles / yr
    - Audi Care included

I believe they said residual would be 59%, not sure about the MF this time but sure seems a lot better than the first offer which was $1667 down, no 1st payment from Audi (so realistically $2519 down) $852 / mo

    What do you think?

    Thanks!

What is the MSRP and negotiated selling price? Audi Care does increase the residual by 1%.

    The sheet I got says:

Plugging in your numbers with the base MF of .00140 and residual of 59% (36/12 with AudiCare) I get a pre-tax payment of $741.30.

    Thanks Michaell!

If I add local taxes to that it comes out to $791.89

I guess I can't expect a dealer to make no money on a deal...?

Great forum, thank you. I have a purchase/finance question pertaining to these leases. If I wanted to purchase a preowned S4 that's just been returned from a lease, and the lease residuals are a nominal 60 percent, should I be able to buy a 2012 S4 that originally listed at $55k for about $33k plus dealer profit? Instead, I'm seeing them advertised at 40-45k (80 percent and higher). What could I expect to drive this price down to? Do the residuals just not matter when it comes to resale? Thanks very much.

  • soonersfan76soonersfan76 Member Posts: 2

So, here is the deal I am being offered, on 36mo/15K

2014 S4 Premium Plus, Nav package with Side Assist, 19 inch wheel package.
    MSRP: $58245
    Sale Price: $54716
    Trade Net: $8200
    Tax/Tags: $2415.02
    Processing fee: $839
    Conquest: -$1000
    MF: 0.00089
    Residual: .52
    Payment: $602

Does this sound like a proper deal concerning the Money Factor, residual, and payment?

Residual and resale value are not related to one another. If the dealer buys the car from the finance company for the residual value, the dealer may still put money into reconditioning it. If they want to make it CPO, then that costs extra as well for the warranty.

    Then add profit onto that.

S4 Prem + MF is .00032, so your dealer is marking that up quite a bit on you. Residual is 52%, per dealer.

Is the entire $8200 trade equity being used as a down payment? We wouldn't recommend that you do that - if the vehicle is stolen or totaled, you are out that money. Instead, look at using the equity for MSDs to lower the MF.

I was going to use it as a down payment. How does the MSD work? Are you sure on the MF: 0.00032 seems way below what everyone else is saying.

That is the base MF from Audi Finance.

Each security deposit is the amount of the payment, rounded up to the next $25. Each security deposit reduces the MF by .00005. A maximum of 9 security deposits can be made. You get your money back at the end of the lease.

Base MF of .00092, so that's a good start. Adding 1% to the residual for AudiCare is always a good idea. I am calculating about 5.6% off MSRP, which is a decent discount. You might ask for more - 5-7% is what I've been seeing.

If my math is right, $1428 of the $3500 up front costs are going to cap cost reduction, which takes your net cap cost to $51,631.

    I get a pre-tax payment of $635.42 with those numbers (55% residual).

    Seems a solid deal.

    Hello,

Here is a deal I'm being offered by my Audi dealer:

    2014 S4, MSRP $58,285, 10k miles, 36 months lease:
    Negotiated selling price $53000,
    MF 0.00032,
    Residual 55%,
    $3694 Down (+ tax),
Payment (pre tax) comes out to be $560.

Are the Residual and MF the correct and current offered by Audi?
Is this deal a good deal for a 2014?

    I'd appreciate any input.

    Thank you

So is my math sound good for what I would most likely be able to get an s4 for . 2015 s4 Premium plus
    msrp 57,000
    7% off, 53010
    less incentives 1000
    sale price of 52,010
    money factor of .00140
    NYS tax of 8.625
    residual of 57
    Audi care 800
    3000 down

    I get 615 (567+48 tax) a month.

Do you know if money factors on 2015s will drop any time soon?

    Thank you

    Thank you

Those are the base rates.. .you need a CAP cost of about $51,250 to get to the $560/mo. payment.. $1750 CAP reduction leaves $1950 of the down payment for 1st payment, acquisition fee, title/license/doc fees.. If that adds up, then it's a pretty good deal.

But, 1st payment should be covered by Audi under The Summer of Audi event.

So is my math sound good for what I would most likely be able to get an s4 for . 2015 s4 Premium plus
    msrp 57,000
    7% off, 53010
    less incentives 1000
    sale price of 52,010
    money factor of .00140
    NYS tax of 8.625
    residual of 57
    Audi care 800

    I get 615 (567+48 tax) a month.

Do you know if money factors on 2015s will drop any time soon?

    Thank you

I get $660 + tax.. Don't forget the acquisition fee of $695. Also, Audi covers the 1st payment. 7% off MSRP might not be achievable on a 2015 model.. 5%-6% is more likely.

NYS tax is calculated on the payments, but added to the CAP cost upfront.. That will result in a payment that is a couple of dollars higher, as well.

Base MF for the S4 is in fact .00032 for 2014, with a 54% residual for the Premium Plus trim (36/12).

With your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment only .02 different than the dealer quote.

    Seems a solid deal.

Thank you for your help. Indeed final numbers were different:
MSRP $58,285, Negotiated selling price $52,300, Audi Care included, First payment on Audi, $3900 Down, $50,275 net cap cost, MF .00032, Residual 56%, 10k miles a year. $551 monthly payment on a 36 months lease (35 remaining).

Hi all! I'm looking to lease a 2014 S4 Premium Plus. MSRP $57,740. I'm considering 42 month term and either 7,500 or 10,000 miles (I don't drive a lot) and looking for term/miles combo with lowest lease payment. Few questions:
    (1) What are MF and Residuals I should expect?
    (2) What is reasonable negotiated discount (%) off MSRP?
    (3) What are fees (acquisition, disposal, etc.) that I need to factor in?
    (4) Is there a better term/miles combo that would get lower monthly payment?
    Thanks!
