Well I went ahead with the pre - order on ML 350 RWD, it seems its going to be a MY2015,the deposit is $1000, its completely refundable within 10 days of cancellation if i choose to for any reason, which he has documented on the signed contract. Delivery by late AUG or early SEPT.
I will be shopping for MY2014s in the mean time as a back up in case I get a much better deal.
Also , MB will not lock in a price on a lease on a pre order, so i guess ill haggle when it gets there.

Whats latest residual and money factor on a 30month/7.5k miles per year, 2014 ML 350 AWD

My MSRP is $60,0770 and the final price is $52,660.77. I am being quoted a post-tax monthly payment of $679 (includes 8.75% tax). Seems a bit high, but wanted the wisdom of the crowd. I am in San Francisco

.00102 MF and 63% residual. At an MSRP of $60,077 (or is it $60,770?), I get a payment of $586/mo.+tax.

To reconcile the figures, we'll need more info. What is the amount due at signing? And, did they disclose the money factor? And, most importantly... can you really get by with 7.5K mi/yr?

Using your MSRP and final price, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $587.11 for 30 months.

- yes, we'd be able to get by with 7500 miles a year. Am in a current ML and do less than that
- yes, msrp is $60,070
- there is no money down. Just the first month + title etc which is $1221 or so

Questions:
- this is an AWD, if I recall correctly. Does that change the money factor. Can I ask the dealership to disclose the money factor and importantly, if it's higher than what you guys are seeing (I live in the Bay Area), can I negotiate that?

Yes, the MF is slightly different - .00102 for 4Matic, .00103 for RWD. Yes, the dealer can mark up the MF for more profit. Explain to them that you won't sign a deal unless it involves the base MF.

It seems like dealers are willing to go really low on the MSRPs around here, I've sent two emails out with requests for 10-11% below MSRP and have not heard a no yet. How much off of MSRP is considered rock bottom?

Hard to say what rock bottom price is ... 10% off sticker is quite a lot in my book.

One other thing to note ... Illinois (for the moment) has a nasty practice of taxing the entire purchase price of a vehicle on a lease, rather than taxing just the monthly payment. The laws are changing as of 1/1/15, but for now, your lease payment will be quite a bit higher than someone who leases in Wisconsin, for example.

Thank you for the reply. I wish I had the luxury of waiting until 01/2015! This will be my third lease in Illinois and it's painful every time. I'm glad to hear that this practice is coming to an end, however.

Sounds like 36 months is the "sweet spot" as compared to 30 months?

i got this quote i need assistance. its a loaner vehicle he said that they must include a charge Mercedes charges them for leasing them.... is that true?

i also have a leased rolled in to that payment of 2,535. may i get the accurate quote on this vehicle

Well it's hard to say what the $1300 is for.. Every Mercedes lease has an acquisition fee of $795 (that dealers can mark up to $1095 for extra profit). Or, it's possible that the $1300 is to pay for the miles already on the car (in lieu of lowering the residual).

he said is to pay the mileage on the vehicle in order to lease. does the calculation make sense? the taxes are included in the lease

I don't know what your taxes are.. .but, pre-tax, with $2535 added in, I get $745/mo..

I want to lease a 2014 Mercedes benz E350 sedan 4matic. With all of the equipment, including $925.00 delivery charge, the MSRP is $61,505.00. So far I've had two quotes: 27 mo. lease 12K miles/yr. monthly pmt. $608.00 $2,000.00 down which includes 1st mo. pmt. Residual Value 67% Money factor 0.00130.
Quote from another dealer: MSPP $61505.00 27 mo. $610.33/mo $2118.13 Down includes 1st mo pmt. RV 67% MF 0.00150

I have not yet pushed on the negotiating end. Seems to me the the Money Factor is high. I haven't done this in a while so any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Also, are the MB maintenance programs worth it? Thank you.

I was able to track down a new 2013 ML350. Will the residuals be so low that it would make more sense to just get a 2014 unless I can get a killer deal on this car? What would the money factor be on a 2013 ML350 RWD 36/12k or 30/12k

Not enough information to provide an answer. What is the selling price? How many miles per year are you looking for?

The bad news is that the MF for the ML550 is "standard", meaning it's in a range from .00195 to .00225 - this means it will be expensive to lease.
