Hi hammerboyone, if you still have your Liberty CRD have you had any further issues? I own a 2005 CRD; in 2010 with only 105,000 miles my engine shut down as in died. I had problems with the check engine light going off and one of the fixes was a warranted EGR valve replacement which was done.
When the engine broke down I had a new engine installed with no help from Crysler at a cost of nearly eight grand.
In September this year, 2014 my Jeep shut down again with only 62,000 miles. Diagnosis is engine is blown. Cam Shaft, Rocker Arms, Lifters over heated and engine failed. Crysler is offering no assistance again based on the 36 month warranty on "PARTS".
Ive read numerous blogs about issues with the Jeep Liberty CRD for 2005 and 2006. I'm looking for some guidance on how to pursue legal actioin to get some assistance from Crysler my second time around with my diesel engine failing at 62,000 miles just a bit over half the miles of the first engine crapping out with only 105,000 miles.
