I would love for someone to file a lawsuit! This should definitely be a recall I have already had 3 recalls fixed on my car already! So many "little" issues with this car! Engine has been on had for 2 years but car running fine. So much stress trying to get it through emissions but did slip through just before light came back on after resetting codes. Have replaced the starter twice and battery 3 times.0 ·February 2014
Furthermore, I have also had the motor in the sunroof reset on several occasions when it was under warranty. It would not shut completely and as soon as my warranty ran out it happened a few months after and the dealer charged me $120 to repair it (just to reset the computer so it would function properly).
I have called Jeep Corp. on several occasions to discuss the sunroof issues which I believe have also contributes to other major electrical issues all across the front dashboard. First, the information bar/strip below the stereo that has the reset button etc. light are all burnt out. $125 to replace. Second, blower stopped working and was making a weird squeaking noise. Finally, I think after water dried out it started working thankfully!!! Third, my left speaker on top of dashboard has a crackling sound that comes and goes! Jeep dealer denies that water damage could affect all these things!! I know I'm right they just don't want to fix it!!! I am going to continue to contact jeep0 ·February 2014
I have a 2006 Jeep Commander that I purchased brand new. Since I have owned it I have had the sunroof repaired 4 times and I am taking next week to have it fixed again for leaking through the grip bars in the interior front of the car. My floor boards have been soaked so many times I'm sure there is probably mold now. I've had to put towels down on several occasions to soak up puddles of water after having rain.
Jeep dealers response each time...... I need to put some kind of solution about every 6 months down the drain tubes to keep them clear and from backing up?!? What....so retarded never heard of anyone buying a 38,000 car and having to maintain the sunroof like this. Also, they asked me if I dry on gravel roads a lot because a lot of dust could be getting and and clogging the tubes. Sorry, that's no excuse; jeep should've designed a better product!!!! I should not have to worry about where I drive so my sunroof does not leak or put a solution in it every six months.0 ·February 2014
