we just bought a used Blazer, and I'd like to know how the person got the service engine light to go out with all the codes it had to sell it. we fixed more than 10 codes. The last thing our mechanic did, he promised it would smog, and it didn't. So he had it for 3 days trying to find the remaining problem with the "random misfire" and he couldn't. This morning the battery was clear dead. Our mechanic had the Blazer for 3 days trying to find the problem and gave up. The battery possibly went dead if they listened to the radio while trying to fix it...but may have had problem already. So I'm asking, along with you, and also telling you, can the random misfire problem be a very bad battery connection, or a problem as of a very old battery? as on top of everything we've done, the Blazer still has the misfire when idling, although it runs very well otherwise.February 6
