Consumers Report professes to be objective but I have seen them get known, proven (personal experience) facts wrong about cars. My perception is CR favors Japanese brands that serve the needs of conservative consumers as "appliances". There's a place for this but no passion in these (Toyota, etc.) vehicles. I have never seen them say much of anything positive about Jeep. When the 2014 Cherokee was introduced, CR said: "half-baked effort". That is a total "slam" and an unnecessary, opinionated degrading of the brand. CR said the engine in the 2007 Chevy Tahoe was "course" (V-8, runs like a dream) but the Yukon and Suburban did not have this problem. (Guys, they all have the same 5.3L V-8). CR brings up good points on occasion, but they are essentially arcaic and have little cred with me.0 ·April 2014
