sienna got to mechanic in 5 minutes by joey the tow truck driver. mechanic did a thorough look over and repaired a leaky hose, inserted spark plugs and added a quart of oil. i drove the van back to the dealership service dept and i parked it right in front of my service writers window/doorway. i left it running. i was back to this spot within 45 minutes of towing it away from there. i said will you please tell me why you said my motor was shot? i asked him why wasn't the recalled part covered for the tow bill and all these costs and he said because i already had the recall work done. i said you guys put a heater hose on a high-pressure oil system. he called the police on me. manager blew me off. what is there to do. i have driven 30,000 miles since without any issues.

my 2007 toyota sienna had the same issue with the oil pump hose exploding. van towed to dealer, dealer tells me motor is blown and it will be $5500. i already had them fix it once and it kept exploding. come to find out all they did was put a 2" rubber hose from a heater hose on the oil line. this replacement part is not even in their computer as a part to buy at the counter. my pal owns a tow truck so he met me at the dealership to pick up the van and take it for a 2nd opinion before we sink $5500 in to it. when joey the mechanic arrived he noticed 2 plugs out and laying on widshield.joey got the keys and inserted them to unlock wheel but he accidentally turned the keys all the over in to start position and the damn van started right up. and that is with only 4 plugs in it. the dealer just told joey and i that motor was locked up/shot. van runs great. dealer terrible.any input?
