I would like to know when General Motors is going to take responsibility and orchestrate a recall for the excessive oil consumption that my 2008 Impala SS has. Every 1-2 thousand miles, I have to top off the oil. I don't have any leaks. This car just drinks it to somewhere I can't see....driveway, black smoke from the exha;ust, etc. I see this issue all over the internet. Does GM just think that this problem should be ours to deal with? I feel it is very unfair on their part when people are loyal to their product, and we are getting screwed. I realized very quickly why this car was on the used car lot for the next unsuspecting victim (ME) to deal with a problem that shouldn't of been sold to me in the first place. Not too happy about getting screwed!June 15
My mother owns a 2011 Chevy Impala. She is having the same issues as everyone else. This is ridiculous. She CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE IT TO A CHEVY DEALER TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. She lives on a fixed income and bought this car hoping that it would last her until she could no longer drive. Obviously buying a chevy was the worse mistake she ever made. Why have these issues not been recalled? What is GM going to do about it?
Thank youJune 8
Don't know if you still work for GM or do work on this website, however we have a Buick Rendevous which has both the low hum or noise at 20-25 mph and an issue with the aluminum sleeve in the rear differential. We have had nothing but issues with the SUV. It's a 2006 and only has 68K miles on it and the transmition fluid has been replaced once already. Please let me know if you can help.February 7
I have a 2009 Impala. Sometimes, it drives great. Then at random times I get in and it flashes "Service Traction Control", then it tries to stall when I come to stops. And occasionally, just once every few weeks, it will also seem to get worse and I'll get the message "Engine Power Reduced". I checked the Throttle Body, it doesn't look dirty; but I didn't take it off, I just looked. I had it checked at O'Reilly's and the only code it was showing was for the O2 Sensor. But that doesn't make sense to be related to this. Any suggestions?January 7
Hello. I have recently experienced the same problem that apparently lots of people have had. I was leaving for work the other morning, and when I started to close the back hatch of my 2003 GMC Envoy, the rear hatch window exploded all over my garage.December 2014
Hello, I am having transmission issues with my 2007 Saturn Outlook. I am the original owner and we love our Saturn. But recently the transmission has a hard time shifting to a higher gear. I have seen this issue numerous times on the internet. I have two friends who both had transmission work done on their 2007-2008 Outlook. Is a recall in effect for this issue. I have not taken our Saturn to the dealer yet. I wanted to know what help is available before I visit the dealer.November 2014
I am responding to GMC Envoy Rear Window Explodes from Sarah GM Customer Service.
I have a 2004, GMC Envoy, last night me and my family got out the truck and as we walked away the back windshield exploded, glass flew outside and inside. I reviewed some of the complaints on Edmunds and came across Sarah's response and wanted to see what if any you could do.

I have a 2008 saturn aura xr. Over past year the car has been in 10 different shops. 2 that gm sent me to because I do have a case or claim # whatever it's called but now no one will call me back. I took my car to dealership I bought it from they said they fixed it, that was last week. Now my check engine light. Ignition lock light & service esc is on & that's what I keep taking the car in for. No one can tell me whats wrong with my car & now I can't even drive it. My car turns off the on while I'm driving then jolts forward trying to get back into gear while the gas gage & every thing else goes crazy jumping up and down. When the ignition lock light comes on while I'm driving the car then it won't let me out of first gear then when I turn off then car I can't start it again until it cools off. Now it's completely unsafe to drive at all. I don't know what to do. If there's anything you can do please email me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Kcgates001@gmail.comAugust 2014
I have a 2010 Chevy Impala that all of this happened to me Sunday with the Engine light and traction control light and Engine Power reduced. Pat Clemons Chevrolet Dealership in Boone, Ia has my car now and they are replacing my throttle body assembly hopefully by tommorrow. Will this fix my problem. I am really concerned as this is our only vehicle and I have to drive 20 miles one way to work. It is going to cost me $475.00 as my car has 101,000 miles on it and is no longer covered under the warranty.March 2014
