I'm sure the cables were fine but that's another issue with mechanics. My tahoe would lose power and activate the door locks as I was driving. Apparently the computer or something would get too hot and trigger all the modules to malfunction. Seriously hope this helps, I saw several comments looking into class action lawsuits
