Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous (Archived)
I’ve never been particularly envious of any of my wife’s MINIs, but this one gets close…

@laurasdada - I don't think I've always aspired to the cost of car under 50% of annual income rule, but the Maverick XL very comfortably checks that box!Congrats to Mrs. @breld on what I believe is the 40th punch of the year, if we're counting @qbrozen's flip cars.
40 punches for Mrs @breld ? I’m impressed!

NY, I think we need a ruling on that. Seems that cars bought for a dealership business wouldn't count.
Because you guessed low?
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous (Archived)
@kyfdx and I will review the tape from New York, and come back with a ruling.

I don't know if someone has posted this before, but it's deadly accurate:

My wife sends out a traditional card while I always send an automotive themed card. This is my 2022 card:

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous (Archived)
I would tell my wife that if she won't tell me in advance, I am having her stuffed and put out in the shed.I told my wife I wanted to be cremated. She said “good idea, let’s get started on that”.🙄

@qbrozen - little late to the responses, but congrats on getting the Gloria sorted out. Sounds like a lot of lessons learned and now you can hit the ground running on the next sale.
@nyccarguy - that's tragic about your mechanic. Very sad regardless of the circumstances.
I had a nice surprise yesterday. You may recall that the faulty keyless access on my driver's door of the wagon was found to be caused by a GPS tracker that had been installed by the selling broker. I contacted them and they put me in touch with the company who installs the trackers for them. A rep from that company asked to see my car to verify what the MB service dept said. I assumed they would just explain away their liability, but after checking out some of the wiring, he agreed it made sense that his tech hadn't installed the tracker correctly and said they'd be cutting a check for the repair!
