Car bucks
Most of the lights on the dashboard start blinking and the car starts to "buck". It feels like the transmission is going to "drop out". Sometimes if you gun the motor the problem will disappear and the car will run smoothly. Sometimes the problem will go away and then return after driving about 10 yards. It will do this for three or four times and then run smoothly. The problem does not occur when the car is driven in reverse.
Is it engine, transmission, computer? Any help is appreciated.

If it's a newer PA then it may have the double positive cable at the battery. Turn the AC controls to off with the key on to put the system to off mode. Then take off the battery cables. Pull the two positives apart and look for corrosion on the cables including the negative. Check the other end where they are attached to the motor os starter. Pull the plastic down to be sure the copper cable is okay where it leads away from the connectors.
When there are unusual symptoms, it's often the cables and corrosion.

It's a 1996 with 117,000 on the car. I replaced the engine twenty-six months ago and the engine now has 87,000 miles on it. I have had no problems since replacing the engine.

The next solution for odd problems is checking the ground buss. There are some ground busses inside the H bodies that can corrode in wet or snow/salt climates.
