Snapped parking brake cable
I have a snapped parking brake cable and I need help. I have removed the old one (the front section) and replaced it with a new one. My problem is under the dash. The snapped cable is in the pull lever just below the pin that holds it inside the trough of the pull lever. I cannot remove the old pin and the small section of cable. The cable seems to have snapped above the pulley (above where it come up through the floor) in the area where the cable bends. I have tried removing the electronic signal switch, removed the one bolt holding the bracket to the floor, and removed the lower portion of the dash panel (under the steering column) to be able to remove one of the bolts attaching the pull lever bracket to the dash. Help!!...I cannot attach the new cable until i figure out how to remove the remaining portion of the old cable. Can anyone help?

1. Can I replace this myself?
2. If so where is the sensor located?
3. I also understand that the belt replacement light should come on at 150 km as well - same questions as above
