Nanotechnology in the future of car design

Hi I'm Lilly, I'm a design student and I am researching the field of nanotechnology and the influence of these breakthroughs on design.
I have found that nanotechnology will soon be incorparated in automotive design. EX: New more efficient fuel cells, Led technology headlights and so forth. The new Audi concept car has incorparated this technology only as an asthetic add-on to thier headlights. Does anyone know of new applications for these technologies in the future of automotive design?

Vanishing Dents

The interaction between elastic and plastic deformation in the grain structure of the metals will coax the material back to original shape.
Do you think that the material will be able to bridge gaps and gashes that would accure in a car accident?
Do you know if any car companies are incorparating such technologies in concept cars?
Not yet...the testing continues just like the tech for self-cleaning clothes. The so-called Teflon Don will have a suit that literally is stain proof!

The first step is to make sure it works for most dents and scrapes. When massive deformation occurs in a major collision, it might not be possible to reform at that level of change.
