Warranty on a Used 2003 Lincoln Aviator

smartyjonseysmartyjonsey Member Posts: 3
I have recently purchased a used 2003 Lincoln Aviator, I've researched and found that there is still an active Premium Care Warranty with a deductible of $100.00, I've been told that since I'm not listed as the original owner the warranty does not apply to me. Does anyone know if this is true? This does not seem right to me.

They are transferrable to the new owner but I don't know if that requires action on the seller's part or if it's automatic. You'll have to check with Ford.

Thanks for the reply. I've recently noticed a whining sound and some slight vibration with any turning of the steering wheel to the left, no such symptoms when turning to the right. Does this sound familiar at all? (Wheel bearing issues maybe?) I've only had it for a couple of weeks now, but since I've been reading these messages I am at worst very paranoid or at best very aware, either way I am trying to nip it in the bud and am hopeful my used car dealership will be willing to make repairs not related to engine, transmission or differentials (does anyone know what differential means?) within the next 90 days or 3000 miles.

What ended up being the cause? I'm having the same problem with my Aviator
