2007 TC little black box

On the TC we have, there is a black box in front of the mirror, It looks like it could be a satellite antenna, but could be something else. The car is Sirius/XM ready, but doesn't have a tuner, and wont at the current price of them!

What is it?

    What does the Owners Manual say about it? My guess is it is an antenna.

    No reference to it that I could find. Someone mentioned it might be for the compass, but all the ones I have seen are under the hood.
