Engine start + radio/time reset

'03 Yukon XL, has new battery. When I start it, it acts as if it is dead, just a click. Try again, it starts, but the radio time goes to 12:00 and it shuffles through the CD's (to count 'em, I guess). This behavior does not happen all the time, but is an annoyance and when I am hauling7, I'm afraid that it will be done..and we're all stranded. I think it might be the computer chip, but don't want to taint any thoughts...thanks for listening.

    Have you checked your battery?

It was the battery cable, a little corroded behind the insulation. Things are better and starting without any issues. Thanks.
