Pilot '08 rear tail light rust/water

I was cleaning my car the other day, and noticed some water flowing around the far edges of the rear tail light mechanisms, especially right side. Noticed there is also some rust beginning there. Took it to to my dealer, no problem with a warranty replacement. My wife also has an '08 Pilot, I noticed a virtually identical problem.
Has anyone experienced the same issues? If you are an '08 owner, you might want to check the rear tail lamps, to be safe while under warranty.

Very interesting ! My dealer told me last week about a high rust probability in the same area you mention (we also have an 2008).

What did they replace under warranty ? The whole rear door ?

    Thanks

No, not the entire rear door, the right rear tail light. They look at the wife's car and the same problem tomorrow.

Ohh sorry, I think I misunderstood.

Initially I thought that the tail light is plastic made, so cannot rust. Also the registration plate module is plastic made. So I thought that the only metal made parts (so rust prone) are the rear door and the fender.

But actually I think you got some rust INSIDE the rear tail light. Probably those fancy mirrors inside the tail light can actually rust if water goes inside it (because your tail light was not sealed properly). Am I right ??

    Thanks

Yes, correct, it's just the very, very far outside right perimiter of the right tail light. Much easier to see when it has been raining, but as the dealer said, "we'll see it, we have a car wash!"
