Gas pedal spring noise

I recently purchased a 2008 Entourage and it has less than 2,500 miles on it. For two weeks I've noticed a wierd thumping/brushing sound when I use the gas or brake (usually just after starting it up after it has been parked over night and at low speed only). It only happens about once a day. I took it in. Couldn't "duplicate" the problem so they told me they did a complete safety inspection and the car is in perfect condition. Next day, I'm leaving my work parking lot (again after being parked for a few hours and moving at low speed) and let go of the gas and I hear a distinct spring noise (boing!). This morning after I left my driveway and was getting to stop sign at the end of my road I heard it again. I am taking it back to a different dealership tomorrow and hoping they find the problem but am not confident I'll be able to "duplicate" the issue since it only happens after it's been parked all night. Any advice or thoughts are greatly appreciated. It stinks that I'm having this problem while the car is so new and am nervous about the safety implications.

I believe what you are feeling is due to slight rust that builds up on the rotors overnight especially in climates with high humidity. My Sedona does something similar after sitting overnight or for some hours. It's more like the break pads fully releasing from the rotors after the parking break has been on all night. I would not worry, I am at 27k on our Sedona and no problems with the breaks.

Thank you for your response. Does your answer refer to my comment about the noise my brakes were making (thumping/ brushing) or the spring noise from my accelerator. They seem to be 2 different issues to me. Also, I have never used my parking brake. Would your answer still apply?
