MDX recirculation button cannot stop the ouside smell?

Last week I drove my 2008 MDX through a cow farm area that had bad cow smell. I hit the recirculation button in advance to make sure the bad smell did not come in but I still smell very bad cow smell :(
Should I bring my mdx to dealer to fix that problem or is it normal that mdx's recirculation button can not isolate the outside smell very well? Anyone had the same experience?

Thanks
Albert

I hit the recirculation button in advance...

Maybe you didn't hit it far enough in advance? The "fragrance" you describe can sometimes be very widely dispersed.

I am pretty sure I hit the button long enough, maybe 3-4 minutes ahead :)
I wish it was fragance ,,,,

    Thanks

We have a pig farm not too far from here and the recirc doesn't do too much good because the "bouquet" can extend for miles! In any case, you may want to have your ventilation system checked out. You may have a baffle that's not functioning properly like not opening or closing all the way.
