I like the fact that the diesel and gasoline models are priced the same, but I doubt we would ever see that the case in NA (diesel would be priced higher vs. gasoline version). Of course, the prices in general are much, much higher than we pay here.

    2.0D SE -- 26,295 GBP / $41,946
    2.0D SE NavPlus -- 28,295 GBP / $45,136
    2.5i SE -- 26,295 GBP / $41,946
    2.5i SE NavPlus -- 28,295 GBP / $45,136
    3.6R -- 33,295 GBP / $53,112

    2010 Subaru Legacy Tourer
    2.0D S -- 23,295 GBP / $37,160
    2.0D SE -- 25,295 GBP / $40,351
    2.0D SE NavPlus -- 27,295 GBP / $43,541

By the time they cleaned the diesels up for CARB emissions, you're right, the cost would have to be higher than a similar gas model.

We wish we could get a Legacy wagon here for 10% less than an Outback.

That would be a sweet spot, for sure.
