Highlander stalls when making a turn

I have a 2007 Highlander that I purchased new. I now have 52,000 miles on it, with absolutely no problems, until now. When I turn left or right and accelerate - -it stalls for 1 second after making the turn. I recently replaced the NGK sparkplugs and put in a new air filter, thinking that might be it. Does the 2007 V6 engine have a "gas filter" someplace that might need replacing? Any ideas?
Thanks

I purchased my 2007 Highlander new. It also stalls after making a turn and trying to accelerate. I have had it in the shop a couple of times at Toyota and they have found nothing wrong with it. I have 45,000 miles on it and it has done this from the time I purchased it. Also, what problems could you have if EFI needs work?

    Thanks for responding - b313allen -
After scrolling down about 30-40 posts, I read something about the transmission shifting, that could also be the problem. What I'm experiencing, sounds similar to the problem of hesitation of the transmission shifting properly. With 52,000 on my highlander, I know it's going to cost a small fortune, just to take it into Toyota and have them look at it. And if they say, "nothings wrong" then you just wasted some money. I hate to take it to just any transmission shop, because they might not know the Toyota transmission, like the toyota guys do. But, my problem sounds like the post 30-40 down from mine. Thanks again.

With my '01 F/awd RX300 if I try to accelerate into a tight turn from a low speed or from a stop the engine will be dethrottled virtually instantly. I find that if I am quick to release the gas pedal and then reapply pressure at a lessor level then the engine recovery is fairly quick.

I have always assumed this action to be a pre-emptive measure by the VSC system. Not a good idea to be asking the front tire's contact patch to support high acceleration forces and extreme lateral forces simultaneously.

It might also be the TC system. In a tight turn the outside wheel will be rotating somewhat faster than the inside wheel and TC might see that as drive torque induced wheelslip/spin, especially with higher throttle settings/openings.

    Accelerate AFTER making a turn...?

    Or..

Accelerate when turning, during a tight turn...??

    SOP in the latter case.
