Which is faster, the 2010 Forester XT or the 2010 Outback 3.6R?
Both of these vehicles are the fastest in their respective model ranges, but which is faster - the 2010 Subaru Forester XT with the turbocharged four cylinder engine or the Subaru Outback 3.6R with its Boxer six cylinder?

I think the turbo four is faster in cars of the same weight.
Road Trend just tested the 2010 Legacy GT turbo 2.5 4-cylinder, in an article subtitled "The Only Mainstream Midsize Sedan That Can Call Itself a "Sport Sedan". This title would seem to exclude the naturally aspirated 3.6 6-cylinder Legacy.

0-60 : 6.6 sec, 1/4 mi : 15.1 sec
10 Outback 3.6R
0-60 : 7.1 sec, 1/4 mi : 15.5 sec
These just figure, less than 1 sec difference and don't feel it as who step on the gas first, clean air & oil filter, clean oil, etc can make a difference also.
So an engine makes more power after an oil change? Why is that?
Newer, thinner oils help engines run more efficiently, but even then it's a stretch to say they gain power measurably.
