Seized Engine?

I have a 2000 Outback with ~210,000 miles. Today I changed the oil but forgot to replace the oil! When idling the engine to check the coolant, within about 5 minutes the engine made a loud CLUNK and now when I try to start it it makes a very different sound, like only the starter is moving. Is there anyway I can check to see if it is seized, or someway to loosen it up?

If the engine is dead, where might I find a replacement engine - either used or new?

Thanky ou.
