Nissan Murano Intelligent Key

I recently purchased a 2010 AWD Murano SL. We want extra keys and the dealer promised he'd take care of me after purchase when I picked up car. I made a mistake in not including it in purchase price. He treated me fairly during negotiations so I tipped him fairly well. Now he is quoting me $200 for key and remote plus $95 to program, and he can probably "get it for me" for $240. This seems extremely high. What have others experienced?

    Hey Dennis,

Since I know the dealership, I do not expect anything less. I am not sure that you will get it for less anywhere since other dealers would say that they did not sell you the car. That was the one thing that I was upset about in regards to the car 2 keys only instead of the 3 on my other Murano. Actually on the say that I closed my deal, he said that he would give me a cover for the back, but I told him "No, because when I come back next week you will have forgetten its not your fault its just the emotion behind the deal at the moment." On a separate note at the least we can take pride in knowing that we did not overpay for the car. Talk to him and see if he can get it for you for $200. Its very tough to go back and get something after the final deal, specially with the management at that dealer I will never take anything for granted. Let me know how it goes, I am still awating to hear back on the refferal promise to pick up a payment after recommending 2 buyers for them. Take care!

I have an '09 Murano. The dealer has had the car for 5 days and they are still trying to program a new key. They have consulted with the factory and still are unable to resolve the issue.Has anyone else had similar issues and how was it resolved?
