No power to a 2007 Town and Country Instrument Cluster

mikehelveymikehelvey Member Posts: 1
I shorted out my trailer wire harness by accidentally catching it in the trunk latch. The instrument cluster now has no power. I don't know why the two are related, but they happened at the same time.

I could not find the expected inst fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Reading the manual, it is not addressed. So... is there a fuse/breaker/fusable link that I need to replace or reset for the instrument cluster... or is it a bigger issue?

I looked everywhere I could think of with no-joy. I also disconnected the battery for a while hoping that a computer reset may help the issue. Nope.

Please advise, if you have any idea.

I just had this exact thing happen, what ended up being the solution? Like you, I unhooked the battery to no avail. I also removed the IOD fuse, rewired the tow wiring, even took out the cluster panel to inspect solder joints (all was fine), still no power to cluster. I would love to know how you resolved yours. Thanks in advance!
