Dakota 3.9l engine noise

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on the noise I get. Its from under the hood only at 1700, 2200, 2800 rpms approx. Its real high pitched and only at the before given rpms when driving at steady speeds. it starts off quieter and gets loader, when you get past the speed range nothing, vacuum leak, pcv? no ideas here. I would appreciate any answers
