i have a 99 ram ext cab sport it has the stock size of 265/75/16 tires on it but i'm looking to buying new tires and would like to go to a 285/75/16 but don't know if i will have problems with rubbing in turns. can someone please answer this and if posible provide a link to a website to prove it.

    There are 2 problems:

    1) The stock rims on your truck are 7" wide and an LT285/75R16 requires a minimum rim width of 7½". That means the tread face is going to arch more - and that may lead to center wear on the tire and tends to make the tire follow the grooves and ruts in the pavement. This will feel like instability and sensitivity to cross winds.

    2) You currently have P type tires on your truck, while the tires size you are considering only comes in an LT type. That means you need to use higher inflation pressure to carry the same load. That will lead to a rougher ride.

This is not a good direction to go.
