Car won't start just getting one click!

I have a 1999 Chrysler Concorde the battery kept dying and needing a jump so I went and bought a new battery. Here's where my new problem came in at. I connected the cables in reverse moving to fast my sons had a dentist appointment. Noticing the sparking on one side I checked why and removed both cables. Not knowing this would cause such a pain. Everything lights up, blows, honks but when I turn the key all I get is One click. Someone please help me fast my wife is on my [non-permissible content removed].
