I was looking to lease a 2014 A8 TDI. Is there information on the money factor "buy rate" (i.e. what dealers pay Audi Financial) and residuals for 36 and 42 month leases for 12k and 15k per year. Also, has there been a comparison done month by month for current model year A8 vehicles to determine historically what month Audi has had the best incentives. Thank you.

I've received a offer for Audi A8L MSRP $90650 with options:

Down payment: $2k (all inclusive of taxes etc.)
Monthly: $1150/ month with 10000 miles/ year
Duration: 36 months

Would you consider this as a good offer?

What would be the current MF and residual for a 2014 Audi A8L. Also, is 36 months a good period or there is a better sweet spot for Audi A8 leasing like 27 months?

I don't see any term lengths that look any better.

been offered 90650 car for $1170/mo, 12k miles, 3.0TFSI... 7000 off MSRP plus $3000 bmw conquest... MF .00059 res 49% ... and audi care and 1st month paid. $1000 out the door, $1170/mo

2014 A8L 3.0 TFSI, MSRP is $86,300. Sale price is $76,500. Plus BMW $3K conquest. Looking at a 3yr, 12k/mile lease with $3K down.

Can you please confirm the MF and residual, also what is the sweet spot? Should I get 10K/yr or 15/yr instead? What is the best deal from a MF and residual perspective?

Looks like I get an additional $1K rebate along with the $3K conquest money.

For the 12k/yr, they are quoting .00110 and a residual of 50%. The money factor seems very high compared with the ones I see above. Please advise. Thank again in advance!

.00060 MF and 49% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. 50% residual if you've added AudiCare. It looks like they are marking up your MF for extra profit, or you asked them to waive the acquisition fee (.00050 markup for that.. not a good deal). The 36 month lease is as good a term as any...

Get the mileage allowance that suits your driving needs... 10K residuals are 1% higher than 12K, and 15K residuals are 2% lower than 12K.

Just got a quote for a basic A8 3.0T. 10k miles, $0 down. $5k loyalty rebate. $1400/mo 36-mo lease. Seems very high. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have an offer on a 42 month/15k 2014 A8L 4.0. MSRP: $103,315. Selling Price: $97,850.
Sales and Georgia title tax: 13%. Putting $25,000 down + $5,000 incentive for drive off of $30,000.

They have a residual of 39% with payments of $1,020. Thoughts?

.00045 MF and 39% residual. So, the tax is around $12,700 of that $30K? Shewww..

So.. added $12,700 to the $97850 + $695 acq.fee, minus $30K for a CAP cost of $81265. That gives me a payment of $1030/mo. Given all the variables, that's awfully close, so it doesn't look like any markups.. Is GA tax really 13%? I know they are taxing the full selling price, but 13%!?

The effective interest rate at .00045 is only 1.09%. If they let you, I'd roll everything into the lease payment, but the $5000 incentive.. That makes the payment $1626-1636 per month, with nothing out of pocket.. At least that way, GAP insurance will effectively pay that tax bill, in case the car gets totaled, early in the lease...

That's a big chunk of change, but given the way big luxo-sedans depreciate, you are probably still better off than buying, then selling after 42 months... (are you sure about that tax rate?)

Thanks for the quick reply. In 2013 the state of Georgia passed a new method for taxing vehicles. Instead of paying a yearly ad valorem tax (tag tax) we now pay a one-time tax imposed on the sell price of the vehicle. My county sales tax is 8% and the estimated ad valorem tax is $4,579, approx. 5%, for a total of 13%.

I probably wasn't correct in my initial information though because the 5% (state tax) is covered in the lease payments. I'm only paying the 8% up front and they pay the state in my monthly payment.

Here's how they have it shown on the finance sheet:
MSRP: 103,515
Savings: 5,465
Rebate: 5,000
Sales Tax: 7945.75
Dealer Fees: 632
Total Price: 106,427
Customer Cash: 25,000
Drive Off: 30,000

Yeah.. it all comes out the same.. 13% tax plus the selling price, minus the upfront money. It all adds up.. I just wouldn't want to put anything upfront that I didn't have to..
