Ford Explorer Continuous Heat

During a recent trip to the dealer, my 1997 Explorer returned unable to control the heat level (always on high heat) except when on Max. A/C. Could be a coincidence. I figure the vent door is hanging up, anyone have this problem or a fix? Thanks

mabey a vaccume line came off its controld by vaccume. what did they repair on it ??? larry

Problem is a part called a "plenum"

Cost around $700. Mostly labor.

Vehicle was just out of warranty.

Really sucked.
