Hi, I have a lease quote for a Mazda CX-5 2015 touring with no optional extras. The numbers are below are for a 36 month/10k zero down lease in CT. Is this a good deal? I'm not sure of the 2015 invoice price, so I'm not sure how much wiggle room there is on the selling price.

The residual is correct and that's the base rate for the money factor,so that's good. The only negotiable items would be the selling price and the doc fee. $500 off with a $400 doc fee doesn't look like a stellar deal, but it is a new 2015 model.

If you are adding in the three fees to the CAP cost, I get a payment of $330/mo.+ tax..

.00006 MF. 15K residual is 55% for FWD and 57% for AWD. Add 1% for 12K/yr.

Hi there, does anyone have the MF and residual in San Diego FWD Touring for 10k/yr and 12k/yr. Looking to lease very soon. I was quoted 24,388 with msrp at 25795 for 2015 touring. I want to ensure they don't tack on outrageous fees adding points to the the MF. What's a reasonable doc fee/ and acquisition fee? Also, has anyone been charged a disposition fee too? Thanks in advance

.00035 MF and 56% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. 57% for 10K/yr.

CA doc fees are restricted to $80. The Mazda acquisition fee is $595. Mazda Capital leases have a $300 disposition fee, but that isn't paid at lease inception, only at disposition.

Can I get the MF and residuals for Florida for 2015 AWD Grand Touring? 24 / 36 months, 10K miles? Would you know if Mazda includes gap insurance in their leases, or if it's an extra?

GAP insurance included in all Mazda leases.

The above numbers expire today - we should have the June numbers as early as tomorrow.

I just got a quote of Selling Price $29,550 against MSRP of $30,050, with a money factor of 0.00056 and 60% residual

With 'capped fees' of $1,700 odd (Florida dealer fees?) it comes to $420 per month after taxes. Looks expensive?

I'm trying to get them down to $370 by reduction in sales price / fees. Doable?

Well, $50 x 36 months = $1800. Not sure if there is that much room in the selling price for the dealer to come down that much. But, I'm not in the market so I'm not shopping prices.

They just declined to budge at all. I was hoping for a sizable reduction in the fees, considering the $895 doc fee they usually have. Will have to wait it out.

Anything is possible, but with the MY15 so new to the showrooms, along with the popularity of the CX-5, I wouldn't expect to see a whole lot of movement.

Tax is $2729 on a lease? That seems like the tax amount on a purchase, not this lease in NY. If I use $30625 as the CAP cost, assuming that tax, title and fees are paid upfront in the $2282 due at signing, then I get a payment of $312/mo. So, if you are getting $289/mo, then that seems really cheap.

They put a lot of figures on the computer screen for a lease.. some of which don't apply. Looks like maybe you have purchase and lease figures intermingled.

Yea I made a mistake the total lease fees are 2282 that includes taxs first month and bank fees. It get confusing. Thanks for the help

Add 1% for 36/15 Grand Touring. Add 1% to each for 12K per year.

MF is .00001 for all.

MF for the 2015 CX-5 for 36 months is .00001.

Check with a second dealer.

Michael, one more question. In NJ the sales tax is included in the Gross Capitalized cost which is then included in the Depreciation fee. However it appears that it is also charged as a separate item to be included in the lease payment (along with the depreciation fee and rental charge). Effectively am I being charged twice? Is this correct?

you shouldn't be. as you noted, in NJ the entire tax for the lease term is calculated up front and added to the cap cost. after the monthly depreciation and rent charges are figured out, i don't see how they can tax the amount again.

you might want to do some research on this - check the NJ state website on lease taxation.

I am leasing a 2015 CX5 Grand Touring AWD Tech Pkg and got a quote for 325 with 69x due at signing for 12k 36 months. 30200 is the net cap cost. this includes mazda loyalty, s plan etc. Is this a decent price in Michigan?

.00029 MF and 58% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr. 59% for 12K/yr.

Residuals can't be altered, but Mazda dealers are permitted to mark up the money factor for extra profit. The acquisition fee on a Mazda Finance lease is $595.

Two dealers quoted me today:
55% residual and 0.00001 MF (another dealer quoted 56% residual)
2015 CX-5 GT AWD
15K miles, 36 month lease

I'm not sure how accurate the numbers are.

They seem similar to last month's numbers... Most likely they are correct (well..only one of those residuals can be correct).
