Can anyone speak to the MDX performance in bad weather, ie snow storms and general snow performance. Travel frequently with the family for ski trips up northeast and need the ability to get up and around on snowy hills and dirts roads, loose gravel etc. Does the MDX have hill descent control and or hill break assist?

I'm coming out of an Audi q5 which has handled northeast winters just fine. Wondering if I should rule out the MDX and focus on Jeep or Explorer.

No the MDX does not have hill descent control. You'd have to choose the BMW X5 for that. Othewise from all I've read, the MDX all wheel drive system is excellent and should match any other similar vehicle. Naturally, it's not a rock-hopper.
