Obedient - 2014 Acura MDX AWD Long-Term Road Test
Our 2014 Acura MDX does a great job of letting me drive the way I want.

This is good to hear, and something I've noticed about my TSX. Sometimes, when you don't need the flash and "look-at-me" aura of European cars, you come to appreciate the even-keeled and dependable nature of Acura. Some enthusiasts believe they have lost their way, but this has been their game all along.
By the way, the whirring noise mentioned in a few previous updates has been fixed in my 2014 MDX. It was coming from the bulkhead cover due to one of the strikers and the latches beeing loose. They replaced all of them for my bulkhead cover and the noise is now completely gone. Acura actually released a service bulletin for this issue a few months ago.
Same thing on mine!
I had mine in for a couple of warranty flaws: water in one of the rear turn signals and crinkly delamination of the "chrome" around the grill both of which were probably related to the unrelenting (almost 2 mths straight) below zero weather we had around here (WI). I always thought the sound was a pump or something but as in your case the it was solved by the TSB.
The fix you are talking about fixes a different sound. The whirring that many MDX owners complain of has yet to be solved. Same with the whistling sound likely coming from the fuel pump - not solved. "Acura is still working on a fix."
