Are you a current or recent car shopper who bought an EV and then installed solar – or who had solar already, making the decision to go electric easier?
OR
Are you a recent EV buyer (past 3 months) as a result of manufacturer incentives and dealer discounts on these vehicles, including year-end deals? Were you convinced to buy an EV after finding a good end-of-year deal, or due to uncertainty around which EVs will no longer qualify for full/partial EV tax credits in 2024? I like how GM vehicles also turn on the backup lights when you unlock the doors. Considering that you usually approach your car from behind this is a pretty smart move.
@allthingshonda: Yeah, I like the additional illumination, but I don't like the reverse lights coming on in parking lots as approach lighting... That's a function that should send a clear signal to another driver (Hey! I'm moving backwards and might not see you), rather than confuse people.
I agree with you on this one. Why don't car manufacturers just include more perimeter lights all over? They can't cost that much. How about lights literally around the entire car so you can see the ground at night?
