Can a 2001 Expedition engine work in a 2005 frame?

I have a 2001 Expedition that's running fine but the body is beaten up. just got a 2005 frame that's in near new condition but no engine. My question is...... Can the engine from the '01 model be swapped out to the '05 frame and work properly?

Go to car-part.com and put in your year. It will give you the two engines and offer engines from various parts yards. It will show the years that are interchangeable in the years of engines it offers. Looks like it's 2001 and 2002.
