I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner that has a parasitic power drain that kills the battery.
I have a 2002 Toyota four runner that has a parasitic power drain that kills the battery.
This is the steps I have taken so far.
- Disconnect the battery
- Turned off all electronics
- Remove negative battery terminal
- Clipped one end of a test light to the disconnected negative battery wire
- Noticed that the test light is lit
- Removed all fuses and relays under the hood and in the cabin one by one but the test light
N EVER went out - Removed the main heavy gauge wire on side of the alternator that bolts on with a 12 mm nut
- The test light goes out at this point
- Removed alternator
- I have replaced the alternator , and I am still getting a very week light when I connect a test light to the negative battery terminal and the negative battery cable after the battery and the negative cable are disconnected
Can you check my logic on this ?
Thanks for all the help !
