1999 Nissan Maxima starter problem

I have a 1999 Nissan maxima which we have worked on since February. We have replaced parts in the starter 4-5 different times and it keeps burning up somehow. We have also put 2 new batteries in and has a new alternator can someone please guide us and tell us what may be wrong. We've tried two mechanics and they can't figure it out and my boyfriend has been the one trying because he is the main one driving it. This is practically our only transportation can someone please help. He gets it to crank then it doesn't want to do it anymore. Please we need a way to work and a way to get our daughter to school
