2014 Accord keyless ign Went to a friends house,( locked doors, windows up), stayed a couple hours. As we were leaving we noticed all the windows were down and the sun roof was open. The car was still locked. We had both key fobs with us. Has anyone had anything similar happen. I'm puzzled

I had the same exact thing happen to me yesterday with my Accord - did you ever find anything out about this?

It's a function on the key fob to open remotely on hot days. You just hit it inadvertently.

Did you not read about that function in the OWNER's MANUAL?

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that feature. Every time I would demo that feature I would get a yawn from my shoppers so I quit doing so.

We had the same thing happen last night with our 2006 Accord, only the sun roof was not open and we do not have a keyless ignition system. Temps were cool (lower 50's) and it was raining, so the interior got drenched. Doors were still locked. Both key fobs were with us. Any ideas?

Well this is an added feature from Honda. A no energy ability to cool off your car or get an interior wash for free. A Honda engineer from the Middle East came up with the idea since his country of origin is very hot. So Honda thought it was a great idea. Except for the problem it can create for those of us who get snow and rain. I called Honda and they had no solution. If like 400000 car owners complained then maybe they would find a work around. Call Honda not the dealer and complain.

See posts above. Read your Owner's Manual. It's a nice feature to cool off your car. Learn how to use it.

I cool off with ac. Try using this window down idea in Newark NJ or in LA see how long before your Honda gets stolen. So what about the manual. There is no way to change the setting for this according to Honda. If it didn't open the windows without you knowing or if this feature could be turned off permanently then fine. Otherwise it is a very, very bad idea.

So you don't use it in a city.  No ones forcing you. I never used it the whole time I had my Accord.

The problem is it happens without any notice. I had my keys in my pocket and it turned on the system. I did not know it happened. That is the whole point. It can be turned on without any notice to you. Do you get it now????

I have NEVER until now heard of anyone accidently activating this feature unless maybe they nervously fumble with their keys in their pocket?
