Ugliest Engine Ever - 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG Long-Term Road Test
Yesterday I removed the engine cover from the twin-turbo V12 that powers our long-term 2005 Mercedes CL65 AMG.

Any update on what the dealer determined to be wrong with the car?
On the other hand, if you look under the Audi RS7's engine cover, you wonder why in the world they're covering it up (other than the fact that the turbos are hella hot =D)
I feel that sometimes something built for functionality that turns out visually ugly can loop back around to beautiful in its unabashedly functional form. This engine qualifies for that, in my opinion; it is beautiful in its ugliness. That it has a cover to make it visually appealing means that it offers (me) the best of both worlds!
@grijon you need to get yourself a Seven :-)
The breakdown and the lack of updates on the MB is just click bait to come back to the site to read posts about engine covers.
LOL; right on, @7driver
Really guys? Do you really think we're more interested in how it looks under the engine cover than we are in hearing what was wrong with it mechanically?
What he said.
