Missing Tow Hook Cover - 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG Long-Term Road Test

We wouldn't suggest losing the tow hook cover on your 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG. It's a $130 part and that's when painting it yourself.

Hmmm, body color looks pretty close to duct tape color.
You guys have never heard of eBay? I would bet this sort of thing is available used. Heck, you might end up buying back your own cover. LOL
Duct tape- what can't it fix?
So you guys are starting to address the items of that $14k service quote? Guess this was not the most important issue on that list
What is this eBay you speak of? I'm just an unfrozen caveman autojournalist. Your internet ways frighten and confuse me....
Yes, of course we checked eBay. And everywhere else that might have had one. No luck. Of course, as I've written that, there's probably one that went up yesterday. -James Riswick
May as well leave it open for all the towing that will be required
I will admit that I can understand the paint being a bit pricy because I would expect them the blend it to the current shade the car is given its age but still $95 for a piece of molded plastic I still have to call bull on that one.
come on ladies, you really need to do your homework.
$65 from oediscountparts.com with free shipping. (from an MB dealer, in an MB box, with MB warranty)
If you are not checking places like this before purchasing parts, you're simply throwing money away.
paint can be sourced from a number of places for less than $20.
