535i protection packages

first time post....i am trying to lease a 535i for the first time and I believe I have a solid deal but the dealer insists that I take the extra protection for tire and wheel + wear and tear...quote is 3000 for 3 years or ~$83 per month extra...i live in CA...could some advise me if this is something I should look at...given the first time lease, i am confused..inputs much appreciated...Thx

    Holy Cow! That's crazy! Seriously... how much have you spent on tires and wheels in the last three years.. for any or all of your cars?

    Tell the dealer you'll take it for $500 or forget it... that should shut him up.
