    I don't think I have ever ridden a wooden roller coaster that I could even begin to call "smooth". That said I haven't ridden a steel coaster that was anything more then "meh".

    I don't know if El Toro is a hybrid steel/wood or not but it is simply one of my favorite rides ever, easily in my top 5 and I've ridden 120+ rides in counting. Bring on Iron Colossus or whatever they're calling it.
