2 questions: honda crv/exl or Lexus rx350. When to buy

Can wait for best deal. Buy now, end of November, or end of December?
Buy new 2014 Honda crv/exl, 2015 honda crv/ exl, or 2012 Lexus rx350?

The best deal on a 2014 CR-V is probably now.. you can wait, but there will be less and less stock to choose from. A 2015 CR-V is going to be more.

I don't think it matters a lot when you buy a 3 yr old Lexus, though.

The best time to buy a 3 year old car is when the dealer wants to move it! No dealer wants to buy a birthday cake for any car on his lot.

Thanks for the information. The reason I would consider the 2012 Lexus is that a three year old Lexus with 35000 miles costs about the same as a new honda and has a lot more features. Maybe I'm not thinking right. Which is the best value?

The new CR-V is going to be a lot cheaper to own for the next 5 years. You'll have a full warranty for 3 years and a powertrain warranty for 5 years. The Lexus probably has less than 18 months of warranty left, and scheduled maintenance and repairs will be higher than the new Honda.
