Idle Air Control valve replacement. 2001 Honda Civic.

I have a 2001 Honda Civic with a VTEC engine. I was told today by a mechanic that it would be $300 to get a new one. I'm looking online myself and I guess $300 is buying from the dealership. I can go to a part store and pick one up for $150-170. However, none of them have reviews. Any recommendations on which brand to buy? Thanks in advance.
